this the 26th day of January, 2010, the City Council
for the City of Sonora met in Regular Session in the Council
Chambers of City Hall with the following to wit:

CALL
TO ORDER:
Mayor Davenport
called the meeting to order at
5:00 pm
VISITORS
COMMENTS: Julian Bielawski of LNV Engineering appeared before
the Board to discuss the RFQ process of the infrastructure
project.
GOALS
AND OBJECTIVES: Ms. Miller informed the Council that the management of the
budget was her main priority at this time.
Department Heads would begin preparation of the 2010-2011
budget in March. Other
items discussed were monthly budget analysis, review and amendment
of investment policy, projects information at council meetings,
communication with the public, code revision, professional
development meetings, staff evaluations within 3 months, in-house
training for Mayor and Council members, getting people involved
with the comprehensive plan and comprising a campaign plan for the
street sales tax election.
Council members
requested a monthly city manager report in the newspaper and the
city manager to review the condition of the alleys, make sure
streets were repaired and maintained in a timely manner, research
loss of airport and sanitation revenue, employee boundaries, get
training for Council and staff on emergency management and train
employees to be diplomats of the City.
A motion was made by Councilmember Dover to combine the
goals and objectives discussed with the employment agreement and
bring back to the Council for consideration.
The motion was seconded by Councilmember Bradley and
carried the following votes:

ADJOURNMENT:

Davenport adjourned the meeting at 5:40 pm on a motion by
Councilmember Dover and a second by Councilmember Bradley.
