A customer pays a rate based on the meter size, plus an additional
charge on the amount of water used. Water consumption is figured per
thousand gallons based on the ascending rate schedule.

City Code 21-66-- Private water well permits. (The drilling of private
water wells within the City and the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction is
generally prohibited. In some very specific instances, wells can be drilled
in accordance with City Codes, after obtaining City Council approval and
approval of the Sutton County Water Conservation District. All water well
drilling and completion shall be as per Texas Water Well Driller's
Association and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)
guidelines and specifications.)
